UNSPSC 41111507: Bench scales

UNSPSC 41111507 Bench scales is a Commodity code covering portable and stationary weighing instruments used in law enforcement, public safety, and municipal operations. State and local governments purchase bench scales for evidence handling, contraband weighing, field operations, and administrative use across police departments, sheriffs' offices, and related public agencies. The issuing bodies soliciting under this code span county governments, city police departments, and state law enforcement agencies, often through cooperative purchasing vehicles that aggregate demand across multiple jurisdictions and entity types.

Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government cooperative unit, posted RFP #061626 on May 12, 2026 seeking law enforcement equipment (due June 16, 2026) on behalf of participating entities including Franklin County, Grant County, Grays Harbor County, Chelan County, and Yakima County in Washington, along with numerous other jurisdictions throughout the United States and Canada. The cooperative structure allows the resulting contract to serve thousands of governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and other public entities. Vendors must submit proposals through the Sourcewell Procurement Portal at https://proportal.sourcewell-mn.gov; no bid documents are available through Washington's Electronic Business Solutions (WEBS) system.
