UNSPSC 41104927: Filter support screens

UNSPSC 41104927 Filter support screens (Commodity) covers the supply and installation of filter media, frames, and related consumables for HVAC systems, fire and rescue equipment, and specialized industrial filtration in state and local facilities. State and local governments buy replacement filters, custom-fabricated frames, filter media materials, and associated installation and maintenance services under this code. The issuing bodies span school districts, county fire departments, and state agencies operating specialized facilities such as research centers. Work solicited ranges from routine quarterly filter replacement and maintenance across multiple school buildings to one-time procurement of filtration components for industrial or research operations, often with compliance requirements tied to ASHRAE, NFPA, OSHA, or NIOSH standards depending on the application.

Recent activity shows Georgia as the primary jurisdiction, driven by two solicitations. Cherokee County School District (CCSD) issued an RFP in May 2026 for customized HVAC air filter services across 57 district facilities, seeking quarterly replacement of Merv 8 or Merv 9 filters (approximately 5,085 units total), custom steel frames, and installation services under a one-year contract term beginning July 1, 2026, with proposals due May 28, 2026. Fulton County, Georgia posted an IFB in July 2026 for fire and rescue tools and equipment that includes filter and screen components within a broader procurement of powered rescue equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus maintenance services, with bids due July 28, 2026. The State of Mississippi issued an IFB in May 2026 for filtration components and associated items for an Oyster Hatchery and Research Center, with proposals due May 29, 2026, though specific scope details were not disclosed in the available documentation. The code shows activity across school districts and county emergency services as primary buyers, with periodic state-level industrial filtration procurements.
