UNSPSC 41104120: Sedimentation rate tubes

UNSPSC 41104120 Sedimentation rate tubes (Commodity) shows no relevant recent state and local procurement activity. The code's scope — laboratory glassware and measuring devices for blood sedimentation analysis — does not match the opportunities tagged under it. Recent solicitations include DNA buccal collection kits for the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Laboratory (ITB 125399OR, due July 24, 2026), bridge replacement engineering for Orange County, Florida (Y26-742, due July 7, 2026), a lab information management system RFI for Santa Clara County Public Health (RFITSSFY260686, due April 22, 2026), and X-ray diffraction instrumentation for the University of Southern Mississippi (RFB 26-28, due March 17, 2026). None of these represent sedimentation rate tube procurement or the diagnostic hematology work the code nominally describes.

The mismatch between code classification and actual solicitation scope suggests either miscoding by the issuing bodies or a data artifact; neither signals genuine demand under this commodity code. No state departments, counties, cities, or school districts show active bidding activity for sedimentation rate tubes in the recent opportunities block. Without concrete evidence of state and local purchasing in this product line, the code warrants a skip in current business development portfolios focused on active procurement categories.
