UNSPSC 41104016: Air pollutant samplers

UNSPSC 41104016 Air pollutant samplers (Commodity) shows minimal relevant recent state and local activity. The two posted opportunities on record are unrelated to air quality monitoring or pollutant sampling. The State of Nebraska Department of Administrative Services issued an ITB for DNA Database Buccal Collection Kits for the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Laboratory, and Orange County, Florida posted a sealed-bid solicitation for emergency bridge replacement. Neither opportunity involves air pollutant samplers, atmospheric monitoring equipment, or environmental air quality instrumentation. The code's nominal scope—equipment and devices used to collect or measure airborne contaminants—does not align with the recent procurement activity tagged under it.

The mismatch between the code's stated purpose and the recent opportunities suggests either miscoding in the state and local procurement systems or that air pollutant sampler procurement under this code does not currently generate solicitation volume sufficient to populate recent-opportunity databases. Firms pursuing environmental or air quality monitoring contracts should verify coding accuracy when prospects appear in this UNSPSC category or monitor state environmental agencies and local air quality districts directly for solicitations more likely to align with pollutant sampling equipment.
