UNSPSC 41102407: Warming cabinets

UNSPSC 41102407 Warming cabinets is a Commodity code covering heated storage and transport equipment for food service and institutional use. The recent state and local activity under this code, however, shows minimal direct relevance — the single recent solicitation tagged to it is Sourcewell RFP #061626, a cooperative purchasing agreement for law enforcement equipment issued on behalf of Minnesota state government and multiple Washington counties (Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima). The warming-cabinet classification appears to be a mismatch with the actual law enforcement scope. State and local procurement offices soliciting legitimate warming-cabinet equipment — food-warming units for cafeterias, medical transport warmers, or institutional kitchen equipment — would typically appear under this code, but no such opportunities are present in the recent activity block.

The Sourcewell RFP is structured as a master cooperative agreement open to thousands of governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and public entities across the United States and Canada, with response due June 16, 2026. Vendors must submit proposals through the Sourcewell Procurement Portal at https://proportal.sourcewell-mn.gov and may direct inquiries to Mari Vielma (rfp@sourcewell-mn.gov or 888-894-1930). Because the solicitation's actual scope (law enforcement equipment) diverges from the code's nominal category (warming cabinets), firms pursuing warming-cabinet opportunities should monitor this code with caution and verify issuing-body tagging before investing proposal effort. The code shows little decision-relevant recent activity for its stated product line.
