UNSPSC 40173305: CPVC plastic pipe nipple

Pipe nipple made of CPVC plastic

UNSPSC 40173305 CPVC plastic pipe nipple is a Commodity code with minimal recent state and local procurement activity. The single recent opportunity in the dataset is Santa Clara County's Central Expressway Pavement Rehabilitation Project (ITB ITBRDAFY260694, due May 21, 2026), which encompasses broad pavement and infrastructure work including asphalt overlay, concrete curb and gutter installation, ADA improvements, traffic signal modifications, and bioretention basin installation — a general highway rehabilitation scope that does not reflect demand for CPVC pipe nipples specifically. The posting suggests this code may have been misapplied to the opportunity, as the actual work being procured falls within transportation infrastructure and pavement rehabilitation rather than CPVC piping components.

Santa Clara County is the sole issuing body represented in recent activity under this code. Geographic concentration is limited to California based on the single posting. No other state or local jurisdictions have posted opportunities under UNSPSC 40173305 in the recent window, and the mismatch between the code's nominal scope (plastic pipe nipples) and the highway project's actual deliverables suggests the code sees little relevant procurement activity among state and local bodies at this time.
