UNSPSC 39121010: Magnetic coils

UNSPSC 39121010 Magnetic coils is a Commodity code that captures electrical components and equipment used in power distribution and infrastructure applications. State and local governments procure magnetic coils and related electrical apparatus through municipal utilities, county departments, and special-purpose districts for grid management, facility upgrades, and facility reconstruction projects. The work includes sourcing relays, control devices, and associated electrical hardware for pole-mounted and building-mounted installations, often as part of broader electrical system modernization or new-facility construction.

Recent activity shows municipal utilities and county departments as the primary issuing bodies. Lubbock Power & Light (a municipal utility in Texas) posted a quote request in September 2026 for electrical equipment including relays and LED pedestrian light fixtures, with response due September 24, 2026 through the Bonfire Portal; DeKalb County (Georgia) posted an ITB in June 2026 for IT and low-voltage infrastructure installation at the DeKalb Tennis Center, with bids due July 13, 2026. Geographic activity centers on Texas and Georgia, though the sample is limited. Procurement vehicles include quote requests and ITBs, with evaluation factors including delivery timeline, pricing firmness, and compliance with state hazard communication and equal-opportunity provisions. Payment terms typically run Net 30 days, and bidders must certify pricing parity across customers.
