UNSPSC 32121801: Surface acoustic wave SAW filter

UNSPSC 32121801 Surface acoustic wave SAW filter (Commodity) shows a fundamental mismatch between its nominal scope and recent state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes electronic filters used in signal processing and telecommunications, but the available recent opportunities tagged under this code—including pothole repair asphalt, elevator maintenance, solenoid supply and installation, ballasts and capacitors, Schneider electrical components, law enforcement equipment, water reclamation facility electrical upgrades, heavy-duty bus parts, utility transformer replacement, and electric protective devices—bear no apparent relationship to SAW filter procurement. None of these solicitations involve surface acoustic wave technology or comparable RF/microwave filtering applications.

The source contains no recent state and local contract opportunities that actually solicit surface acoustic wave SAW filters or related goods under this code. The disconnect suggests either systematic miscoding in the opportunity dataset or that this Commodity code sees no active state and local procurement volume worth tracking at present. Without evidence of genuine SAW filter demand from state agencies, counties, municipalities, school districts, or transit authorities, this code presents no actionable market signal for business development purposes.
