UNSPSC 32121507: Film fixed capacitor

UNSPSC 32121507 Film fixed capacitor is a Commodity code under which state and local governments procure discrete electrical components — film capacitors and related fixed capacitors — for use in infrastructure systems, equipment controls, and facility operations. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations specifically requesting film capacitors under this code. Of the nine state and local opportunities posted between February and July 2026, none align with the nominal scope of film fixed capacitors; instead, they span cold-patch asphalt material (City of Arlington, Texas), solenoids and water treatment equipment (City of Tampa), ballasts and capacitors for Parks and Recreation lighting (Gwinnett County, Georgia), Schneider brand electrical components for SCADA control panels (Hillsborough County, Florida), law enforcement equipment cooperative purchasing (Sourcewell on behalf of multiple Washington State counties), water reclamation facility upgrades (Orange County, Florida), heavy-duty bus and truck parts (City of Gainesville, Florida), transformer and door replacement (San Mateo County Parks), and electric protective devices including network protectors and fuses (City of Austin). The sole entry tangentially related to the code — Gwinnett County's June 2026 RFQ for capacitors on an annual contract — specifies Aerovox Z74S5232NN capacitors for 1500W metal halide ballasts, but does not identify these as film capacitors and does not restrict bids to the film-capacitor commodity class.

The code shows little relevant recent activity in state and local procurement. No issuing bodies appear as repeat solicitors specifically for film fixed capacitors, and no representative opportunities targeting this commodity are evident in the recent-opportunities block. The geographic spread and issuing-body mix cannot be characterized from the present source material, as the available records do not support active film-capacitor procurement at the state or local level during the period reviewed.
