UNSPSC 32111508: Solar diodes

UNSPSC 32111508 Solar diodes (Commodity) does not map to recent state and local procurement activity. The source contains no opportunities explicitly soliciting solar diodes, and the nine recent state and local contract notices tagging this code cover unrelated goods: cold patch asphalt (City of Arlington, Texas, RFP), elevator and escalator maintenance (City of Fort Worth), solenoids for water treatment (City of Tampa, RFQ), ballasts and capacitors for lighting (Gwinnett County, Georgia, RFQ), Schneider electrical components for SCADA panels (Hillsborough County, Florida, ITB), law enforcement equipment (Sourcewell cooperative on behalf of Washington and Minnesota jurisdictions, RFP), electrical and mechanical upgrades at a water reclamation facility (Orange County, Florida, IFB), heavy-duty bus and truck brake parts (City of Gainesville, Florida, ITB), and transformers (San Mateo County Parks, California, RFP) and network protectors (City of Austin, Texas, IFB).

The code's nominal scope—discrete semiconductors for rectification, switching, or protection in electronic circuits—does not align with the procurements actually being tagged under it. State and local procurement systems may misclassify electrical and electronic components broadly; solar diodes should appear in equipment-specific solicitations involving photovoltaic systems, but none are present here. This code shows no actionable activity for solar diode suppliers at this time.
