UNSPSC 31381107: Cast machined anisotropic ferrite magnet

Cast anisotropic ferrite magnet that has been machined

UNSPSC 31381107 Cast machined anisotropic ferrite magnet is a Commodity code that carries minimal recent activity in state and local procurement; the single recent opportunity on record — a fire hydrant procurement — appears unrelated to the code's nominal scope of cast ferrite magnets and likely reflects a miscoding or data-capture error in the source. State and local buyers do not appear to be actively soliciting cast ferrite magnets under this code at present.

The City of Midland, Texas (acting on behalf of Mason County) posted an IFB on March 26, 2026 (due April 9, 2026) for 71 fire hydrants under the U25-01 Fire Hydrant Replacement Project, requiring 45 units of 4-foot hydrants, 20 units of 5-foot hydrants, and 6 units of 6-foot hydrants delivered F.O.B. to Midland with freight prepaid. That procurement is governed by Texas Local Government Code provisions on best-value evaluation and local preference (within five percent of the lowest non-local bid), and requires proof of workers' compensation insurance within 21 days of award. Absent other recent opportunities under this code, activity is too sparse to characterize issuing-body patterns, geographic concentration, or buying trends.
