UNSPSC 31371102: Sillimanite bricks

UNSPSC 31371102 Sillimanite bricks, a Commodity code, shows no recent relevant state and local procurement activity. The four opportunities posted between January and July 2026 tagged under this code do not involve sillimanite bricks or refractory materials: Williamson County's notice announces a departmental relocation with no procurement scope; Seminole County's RFP 524526AES solicits mechanical vegetation reduction and firebreak maintenance for parks properties; Sourcewell's RFP 061626 seeks law enforcement equipment for cooperative purchasing across multiple jurisdictions; and the City of Statesboro's sealed bid invitation PE61650NONST2026000000051 requests exterior restoration, window replacement, and elastomeric wall coating at a performing arts center. The code mismatch suggests either misclassification at posting or dormant activity in this commodity category among state and local buyers.

The geographic spread across the recent postings spans Texas (Williamson County), Florida (Seminole County), Washington and Minnesota (Sourcewell cooperative), and Georgia (Statesboro), but none of these opportunities translate to actual demand for sillimanite bricks. State and local procurement offices do not appear to be soliciting this material category under this code at present. A business development professional should monitor for reclassified opportunities or direct outreach to industrial and manufacturing facilities that may operate refractory operations, but traditional state and local procurement channels show no active market signal for this commodity.
