UNSPSC 31351211: Waspalloy welded or brazed tube assemblies

UNSPSC 31351211 Waspalloy welded or brazed tube assemblies is a Commodity code, but recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not align with its nominal scope. The three most recent opportunities posted show no welded or brazed tube assemblies; instead, they cover coiled aluminum for license plate production (two solicitations from Colorado) and pallet rack wire decking (one solicitation from California). The code shows little relevant recent activity for vendors in the welded tube assembly business.

The two Colorado Department of Corrections solicitations, both issued in May 2026, sought 350,000 pounds of coiled 3105H21 aluminum alloy with specific gauge, tensile, and coating specifications for the CCi Tag Plant in Canon City, with delivery in monthly installments on an IFB basis and a five percent SDVOSB pricing preference. The Los Angeles Superior Court, the nation's largest unified trial court with 38 locations and over 4,500 employees, issued an IFB in April 2026 for 606 units of pallet rack wire decking (52 by 42 inches, 2,500-pound load capacity) with a May 7, 2026 response deadline. None of these opportunities require the specialized tube assembly capabilities the code nominally describes, suggesting either mistagging in the issuing bodies' classification systems or a significant mismatch between the code's intended scope and current procurement demand.
