UNSPSC 31301206: Aluminum closed die machined forgings

UNSPSC 31301206 Aluminum closed die machined forgings, a Commodity code, covers precision-forged aluminum components that have been machined to finished or near-finished specifications for assembly into larger systems. State and local governments procure these parts primarily through school districts, transit authorities, and municipal maintenance departments that operate vehicle fleets, water systems, and heavy equipment requiring replacement forgings for engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and structural assemblies. The work includes sourcing forgings to OEM or custom specifications, verifying material certifications and dimensional tolerances, and delivering parts ready for installation or further machining by end users. Issuing bodies range from individual school districts managing bus and equipment fleets to regional water authorities and city public works departments.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities under this code. Without posted solicitations, activity and geographic concentration cannot be characterized. Business development professionals should monitor this code for emerging RFPs and RFQs from school transportation fleets, municipal utilities, and transit authorities in regions with significant vehicle maintenance operations; however, current visibility into active procurement under the code is limited.
