UNSPSC 31282202: Beryllium roll formed components

UNSPSC 31282202 Beryllium roll formed components is a Commodity code that in practice covers fire hydrants and related infrastructure components procured by state and local water utilities and municipalities. The single recent opportunity on record—the City of Midland, Texas solicitation for 71 fire hydrants under the U25-01 Fire Hydrant Replacement Project—demonstrates that the code captures delivery of standardized hydrant assemblies in multiple heights (4-foot, 5-foot, and 6-foot units) conforming to municipal technical specifications. Issuing bodies pursuing this work include cities acting on behalf of county water districts; the Midland example shows a municipal purchasing office managing procurement for a county-level replacement initiative.

The City of Midland posted the solicitation on March 26, 2026, with an IFB response deadline of April 9, 2026, requesting itemized unit pricing and F.O.B. delivery to specified City locations. The procurement applied Texas local preference provisions (five percent price threshold under Texas Local Government Code Section 271.9051) and required proof of workers' compensation insurance within 21 days of award. Geographic activity is limited in the recent record to Texas. The code shows sparse recent state and local procurement activity overall; only one opportunity supports this summary.
