UNSPSC 31281816: Bronze punched components

UNSPSC 31281816 Bronze punched components is a Commodity code capturing metal stamping and piercing work on bronze and related alloys, though recent state and local procurement activity under this code shows minimal concrete detail. The Texas A&M University System posted an ITB on October 12, 2026 for stainless steel diaphragm plates—a punched metal component—with bids due October 28, 2026, but the solicitation materials provide no information on quantities, pricing, contract duration, or performance specifications beyond the component type. All bidding occurs through the AggieBid portal, with questions directed to Sterling Crowdus at soprocurement@tamus.edu. The code appears underutilized in recent state and local procurement activity; a single higher-education system bid does not establish a clear pattern of issuing-body types or scope breadth.

Geographic activity is limited to Texas based on the single identified opportunity. Without additional recent postings across other jurisdictions, characterizing regional concentration or repeat-buyer patterns is not supported by the source. Firms pursuing opportunities under this code should monitor AggieBid and similar cooperative purchasing portals for sporadic bids from higher-education and state agency procurement offices, as the low recent-activity level suggests the code attracts infrequent solicitations in state and local markets.
