UNSPSC 31231104: Bronze machined bar stock

UNSPSC 31231104 Bronze machined bar stock is a Commodity code that in state and local procurement covers finished brass and bronze components for infrastructure repair and maintenance, particularly water system parts. The City of Arlington, Texas recently solicited an annual requirements contract for brass water repair parts including service line fittings, accessories, and tapping saddles for water warehouse stock replenishment, indicating that state and local water utilities and public works departments use this code to acquire ready-to-install brass components rather than raw stock requiring further machining. Issuing bodies under this code appear to include municipal water departments and public utilities focused on routine inventory replenishment for distribution system repairs.

The City of Arlington, Texas represents the primary recent activity under this code. The solicitation (Number 270041) closed October 22, 2026, as an annual requirements contract issued through an IFB notice process. Bidders were required to submit proposals electronically through Euna Procurement, the city's exclusive solicitation platform, with paper submissions accepted only in sealed envelopes labeled with company name, solicitation number, and title. The geographic footprint reflects municipal water system activity in Texas, though broader state and local procurement patterns for brass water components likely extend across water districts and municipal utilities nationwide wherever aging distribution infrastructure requires regular parts replacement.
