UNSPSC 31231103: Brass machined bar stock

UNSPSC 31231103 Brass machined bar stock is a Commodity code encompassing brass components and finished parts that state and local water utilities purchase for distribution system maintenance and repair. The City of Arlington, Texas solicits under this code for brass water repair parts including service line fittings, accessories, and tapping saddles intended for warehouse stock replenishment—work that reflects the practical procurement reality: municipalities buying off-the-shelf brass components rather than raw bar stock for machining operations. Water utilities and municipal public works departments are the primary issuing bodies under this code, focused on maintaining inventories of ready-to-install brass repair parts for service-line replacement and emergency repairs.

The City of Arlington, Texas posted an IFB for an annual requirements contract for brass water repair parts (Solicitation Number 270041) with a response deadline of October 22, 2026. This represents the only recent solicitation activity visible under the code. Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit electronically; paper bids must be sealed and labeled with company name, solicitation number, and title. The City of Arlington exclusively uses Euna Procurement for solicitation notification and distribution, and receipt of solicitations through other channels may result in incomplete specifications or addendums and potential bid non-compliance.
