UNSPSC 31163223: Rectangular key

Rectangular key is of rectangular cross-section and is used for power transmission.

UNSPSC 31163223 Rectangular key is a Commodity code describing small mechanical fastening components used across state and local maintenance, construction, and equipment operations. State and local governments procure rectangular keys as replacement or stock parts for machinery, vehicles, industrial equipment, and rotating-shaft assemblies where keys transmit torque between a shaft and a hub or pulley. The code captures routine consumable and replacement purchasing across diverse jurisdictions — state departments of transportation and public works, county maintenance operations, municipal utilities, school district facilities, and transit authorities all source these components as needed for asset preservation and repair work.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to this code. Without posted solicitations to establish geographic spread or issuing-body concentration, no representative opportunities can be named. The lack of visible recent activity under this Commodity code likely reflects its character as a low-dollar, routine consumable item typically bundled into standing maintenance contracts, cooperative purchasing agreements, or general-supplies vehicles rather than solicited as a discrete procurement.
