UNSPSC 31163220: Pin assortment set

A collection of different types of pin fasteners packaged and sold together.

UNSPSC 31163220 Pin assortment set is a Commodity code representing pre-packaged collections of pins in varied sizes, materials, and styles for general-purpose fastening and assembly work. State and local governments procure pin assortments primarily through school districts, maintenance departments, and facilities management operations that stock them for routine repairs, equipment assembly, and custodial work. The code covers both metal and non-metal pins including cotter pins, dowel pins, straight pins, and specialty fasteners commonly bundled into kits or assortments rather than sold individually.

The source provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities under this code, making it impossible to characterize current issuing-body patterns, geographic concentration, or representative recent solicitations. Pin assortment sets represent a low-value commodity typically procured through standing agreements, cooperative purchasing catalogs, or routine inventory replenishment rather than formal competitive bidding, which may explain the absence of posted RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB activity in the procurement record.
