UNSPSC 31161828: Slotted washer

A type of washer having a wide range of flexibility without creating a heavy load build up.

UNSPSC 31161828 Slotted washer, a Commodity code, covers fasteners and related hardware components that state and local governments procure for maintenance, repair, and construction operations. Recent solicitations show state and local agencies buying bolts, washers, and allied fastening hardware as discrete line items in purchase orders and capital projects. The issuing bodies include transit authorities and municipal governments. Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) represents the transit-authority segment actively sourcing these components for operational maintenance.

DART posted a purchase order on September 3, 2026, seeking bolts (1/2"-13 X 2-3/4") under solicitation 2100828 with a September 11, 2026 response deadline through the BONFIRE procurement portal; the buyer requires FOB Destination shipping with freight included, Net 30 payment terms, and submission of invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org. A second recent opportunity—the City of Lavonia, Georgia water treatment plant improvements project (sealed bid due May 26, 2026)—appears tagged to this code but concerns large-scale construction services rather than fastener procurement, suggesting potential classification misalignment in the underlying notice. Geographic activity centers on Texas (DART) and Georgia (Lavonia), though the sample size is limited.
