UNSPSC 31161525: Screw for plastic

A specialized fastener for connecting plastic materials.

UNSPSC 31161525 Screw for plastic is a Commodity code, but the most recent state and local opportunities tagged under it do not solicit plastic screws or fastening hardware. Instead, the tagged opportunities are for general commercial trades and repair services, painting, drywall, and acoustical ceiling work — services unrelated to the code's nominal scope. The mismatch between the code definition and the actual procurement activity suggests this Commodity code sees little relevant recent activity in state and local contracting.

The Harris County Department of Education (HCDE), in partnership with Choice Partners cooperative purchasing, issued the only substantively detailed recent posting — a Competitive Sealed Proposal for Painting, Drywall, Acoustical Ceilings, and Flooring services under solicitation 26021MR with a May 15, 2026 deadline and up to $200 million in maximum aggregate contract awards available. The City of Lubbock issued two postings (ITB2619925SR and 2619925SR, both with an October 20, 2026 response date) for multiple commercial trades and repair service contracts on an as-needed basis, but neither involves fastening hardware or materials procurement. The geographic activity shown is limited to Texas. Without recent opportunities demonstrating actual demand for plastic screws under this code, the category appears inactive for state and local procurement purposes at this time.
