UNSPSC 31151507: String or twine

UNSPSC 31151507 String or twine, a Commodity code, shows minimal recent activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent solicitation under this code — Sourcewell RFP #061626, posted May 12, 2026 with a June 16, 2026 response deadline — is for law enforcement equipment and does not reflect procurement of string or twine products. The mismatch between the code's stated commodity (string or twine) and the actual work being solicited (law enforcement equipment) suggests either miscoding by the issuing body or that this code does not currently drive state and local purchasing activity in its intended category.

Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government unit and service cooperative, is managing this cooperative purchasing vehicle on behalf of participating entities across multiple states, including Washington counties (Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima) and jurisdictions throughout the United States and Canada. The resulting framework agreement will be available to governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and other public entities. No award value, set-aside designations, or specific vendor information appears in the available documentation. Given the absence of recent opportunities genuinely tied to string or twine procurement, this code warrants monitoring for activity realignment or reclassification by issuing bodies, but does not represent an active procurement area at present.
