UNSPSC 31142704: Thermoset injection inserted molding assembly

Object insert made of thermoset that has been injection molded

UNSPSC 31142704 Thermoset injection inserted molding assembly, a Commodity code, covers the manufacture of molded thermosetting plastic components assembled with inserts — parts commonly used in electrical enclosures, automotive under-hood assemblies, and industrial equipment housings where heat resistance and dimensional stability matter. State and local governments procure these components as subassemblies within larger capital equipment, facility systems, or fleet assets rather than as standalone products; they appear in RFQs and IFBs for finished goods that incorporate them, but procurement offices do not typically issue standalone solicitations for the molded parts themselves.

The source contains no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to this Commodity code. Without posted solicitation activity, the code shows limited visibility for direct pursuit by suppliers of thermoset molded assemblies. When activity does occur under this code, it would typically surface as a line item or subcomponent requirement within broader equipment or system procurements issued by state departments, counties, municipalities, or transit authorities — not as a standalone materials or manufacturing RFQ.
