UNSPSC 31142304: Thermoplastic injection inserted molding assembly

Object insert made of thermoplastic that has been injection molded

UNSPSC 31142304 Thermoplastic injection inserted molding assembly is a Commodity code covering precision-molded thermoplastic components manufactured through insert-molding processes, where metal or other inserts are placed into molds before injection of thermoplastic material. State and local governments procure these parts as components within larger assemblies, often for equipment requiring durable, low-cost molded housings, connectors, or mechanical interfaces. The code typically serves procurement needs at state transportation and public-works agencies, county facilities departments, school districts managing equipment maintenance, and transit authorities sourcing replacement parts for fleet vehicles and infrastructure systems.

The source provides no recent state or local contract opportunities tagged under this code. Without posted solicitations, geographic activity cannot be characterized and representative recent examples cannot be named. Verify current procurement activity through state and local bid portals in target jurisdictions; the code may see sporadic demand driven by equipment maintenance cycles or capital replacement schedules rather than steady, predictable contracting activity.
