UNSPSC 31111714: Steel cold extrusions

UNSPSC 31111714 Steel cold extrusions, a Commodity code, covers finished steel shapes and profiles produced through cold-forming processes — drawn, rolled, or pressed shapes that preserve material properties while achieving dimensional precision. State and local governments procure cold-extruded steel components as materials input for fabrication, infrastructure repair, and equipment assembly, typically as part of larger construction, maintenance, or manufacturing projects rather than as end-use products themselves. The issuing bodies that specify this code range across state departments of transportation and public works, county highway and facility maintenance operations, and municipalities managing infrastructure and utility systems.

The source provided contains no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to this code and no geographic concentration data. Without posted RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB activity in the most-recent-opportunities block, direct demand signals for cold-extruded steel under this specific commodity code are not available. Procurement professionals evaluating this code should verify current activity through state and local e-procurement portals and vendor notification services, as this Commodity tier code may see sporadic solicitation activity embedded within broader materials and fabrication RFPs rather than as a standalone line-item buy.
