UNSPSC 31111704: Bronze cold extrusions

UNSPSC 31111704 Bronze cold extrusions, a Commodity code, addresses the procurement of extruded bronze components and stock material formed through cold-working processes. State and local governments source bronze cold extrusions for infrastructure repair, equipment manufacturing, plumbing and mechanical systems, and specialized industrial applications where corrosion resistance and electrical or thermal conductivity are required. Issuing bodies include municipal public works departments, county transportation authorities, water and wastewater utilities, school district facilities management offices, and special-purpose districts managing regional infrastructure. The code sees solicitation across a variety of procurement vehicles—from small IFBs for maintenance stock to larger RFQs bundling multiple component specifications.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to this code. Without posted solicitations or award records, geographic concentration and representative recent activity cannot be characterized. Firms pursuing this commodity should monitor state purchasing cooperative networks, regional water authority procurement channels, and municipal equipment-supplier databases for emerging demand signals, as the code's quiet recent record may reflect either genuine low volume or a lag in opportunity posting across fragmented state and local systems.
