UNSPSC 31111607: Lead impact extrusions

UNSPSC 31111607 Lead impact extrusions, a Commodity code, covers rolled lead and lead-alloy shapes that state and local governments procure for radiation shielding, soundproofing, vibration damping, and corrosion-resistant applications in hospitals, laboratories, water treatment facilities, and industrial infrastructure projects. The code describes finished or semi-finished lead extrusions—plates, sheets, rods, tubes, and custom profiles—produced to specification and ready for installation or further fabrication. Issuing bodies include state departments of health, environmental protection, and transportation; county facilities management offices; city public works departments; hospital systems; and independent school districts with laboratory or X-ray facilities requiring lead-lined barriers and containment systems.

The source provides no recent state and local contract opportunities under UNSPSC 31111607. Without posted RFPs, RFQs, IBFs, or ITBs naming this code, geographic concentration and representative solicitation activity cannot be characterized from current market data. Lead extrusions remain a niche procurement in state and local budgeting, typically embedded in larger facility construction or renovation projects rather than solicited as standalone commodity buys, which may account for sparse or absent standalone listing under this code in public notice databases.
