UNSPSC 31111515: Tin profile extrusions

UNSPSC 31111515 Tin profile extrusions, a Commodity code, covers tin-based extruded profiles and shapes procured by state and local governments. The code sees sporadic activity in state and local procurement — recent postings show minimal solicitation volume, and the work tracked under this code does not clearly map to the nominal commodity scope. State and local procurement offices do not regularly issue RFPs or IFBs for tin profile extrusions as a standalone category; when tin extrusions do appear in state solicitations, they typically surface as a line item within larger metalworking, fabrication, or maintenance contracts rather than as dedicated material procurements.

The source contains no recent state or local contract opportunities tagged to this code. Without posted solicitations, geographic concentration, issuing-body patterns, and specific procurement examples cannot be determined. Tin profile extrusions remain a niche commodity in state and local supply chains, with demand typically embedded in engineering or construction projects rather than surfaced as independent buys. Firms pursuing this code should monitor construction-related RFPs from state DOTs, transit authorities, and facilities management departments where extrusions might serve in rail, structural, or thermal-management applications, but expect activity to remain thin relative to broader metalworking categories.
