UNSPSC 31102207: Magnesium graphite mold casting

Magnesium object cast from graphite molds

UNSPSC 31102207 Magnesium graphite mold casting (Commodity) shows minimal alignment with recent state and local procurement activity. The single recent opportunity tagged under this code — the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management's May 2026 IFB for pump repair and maintenance services — involves field repair, parts procurement, inspection, and reassembly of nine classifications of industrial pumps across municipal water facilities. This work is unrelated to magnesium graphite casting and suggests a cataloging mismatch rather than genuine demand under the code's nominal scope.

The Atlanta opportunity (Solicitation PE66062NONST2026000000372, due May 29, 2026) requires vendors to demonstrate full-service pump support capability including OEM-standard repair, machine shop access, certified welding and alignment personnel, OSHA compliance, and 24-hour parts availability for nine pump groups ranging from vertical turbine to progressing cavity to vacuum and hydraulic pumps. No other state or local opportunities under UNSPSC 31102207 appear in the recent record. Without additional solicitations grounded in actual magnesium graphite casting procurement, the code registers no actionable market activity for business development purposes at this time.
