UNSPSC 30264404: Carbon steel SAE 1100 series cold rolled strip

Strip of various sizes produced from SAE 1100 cold rolled carbon steel

UNSPSC 30264404 Carbon steel SAE 1100 series cold rolled strip is a Commodity code that, based on recent state and local solicitation activity, does not reflect actual procurement of this material. The posted opportunities tagged under this code show a mismatch: Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners solicited mobile welding and fabrication services for equipment repairs (ITB2600389, due September 16, 2026), and the Texas Workforce Commission posted an IT infrastructure modernization procurement. Neither opportunity involves the purchase or supply of carbon steel SAE 1100 series cold rolled strip. The welding contract includes steel plates, channels, angle iron, tubing, and pipes as line-item materials supplied by the contractor, but these are consumables within a service delivery model, not the primary commodity being procured. The workforce IT modernization solicitation is unrelated to steel materials entirely.

The code shows little relevant recent activity aligned with its nominal scope. Without substantive state and local opportunities documenting actual demand for carbon steel SAE 1100 series cold rolled strip, the code does not signal an active procurement category in the state and local market at this time.
