UNSPSC 30262801: Hot rolled zinc bar

Hot rolled bar of various cross sections produced from zinc

UNSPSC 30262801 Hot rolled zinc bar is a Commodity code capturing the procurement of zinc bar stock in hot rolled form for use in manufacturing, fabrication, and industrial applications. State and local governments purchase this material primarily through maintenance departments, public works operations, water authorities, and transit agencies that require zinc components for corrosion-resistant applications, hardware fabrication, and infrastructure repair. The code spans purchases ranging from small stock quantities for facility repairs to bulk orders supporting ongoing metalworking operations at maintenance shops and fabrication facilities.

The recent opportunities block contains no posted state or local solicitations for this code as of the search date. Without active RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB activity in the source, geographic concentration and issuing-body mix cannot be characterized from recent procurement signals. This absence of visible recent activity suggests the code either draws infrequent, small-dollar purchases through existing blanket orders and cooperative purchasing agreements, or state and local buyers tag zinc bar purchases under alternative commodity or metals-family codes in their procurement systems.
