UNSPSC 30102215: Plastic plate

UNSPSC 30102215 Plastic plate is a Commodity code under which state and local governments procure plastic and fiberglass components used in water treatment and municipal infrastructure operations. The North Texas Municipal Water District's recent bid for fiberglass weir plates and scum baffles—specialized components deployed in wastewater treatment processes—illustrates the practical scope: these are engineered plastic or fiberglass parts that serve structural and functional roles in water systems, rather than generic plastic sheets or bulk material. Water districts and municipal utilities are the primary issuing bodies under this code, though the single recent opportunity provides limited visibility into the full issuing-body mix.

The North Texas Municipal Water District posted IFB 26169B for fiberglass weir plates and scum baffles on July 16, 2026, with proposals due August 7, 2026. Texas shows recent activity under the code, though the sparse opportunity record limits characterization of geographic concentration or the full range of jurisdictions pursuing plastic plate components. Bidders should note that NTMWD's procurement cycle compressed into approximately three weeks from posting to response deadline, consistent with routine IFB timelines for component procurement; pre-bid inquiry and early vendor outreach in similar water-district cycles is advisable given the technical specification of fiberglass weir and baffle products.
