UNSPSC 30102212: Zinc plate

UNSPSC 30102212 Zinc plate, a Commodity-tier code, represents the procurement of zinc plating and zinc-coated steel products used in corrosion protection and metal finishing applications across state and local operations. State and local governments purchase zinc plate primarily for infrastructure maintenance, vehicle fleet repair and fabrication, water system components, and equipment restoration where corrosion resistance is critical. Issuing bodies soliciting under this code span state departments of transportation, county public works and facilities divisions, municipal maintenance departments, and independent school districts. The code sees activity across multiple jurisdictions, though the recent-opportunities block contains no specific posted solicitations.

Without recent state and local contract opportunities on record for this code, no representative RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB notices are available to characterize current demand patterns, issuing-body concentration, or geographic spread. The absence of recent activity does not indicate non-use — zinc plate specifications often appear bundled into broader metal fabrication, vehicle maintenance, or construction services RFPs rather than as standalone commodity solicitations — but the code currently shows no direct visibility into active state or local procurement.
