UNSPSC 30102014: Lead foil

UNSPSC 30102014 Lead foil, a Commodity code, covers the procurement of lead foil stock by state and local government agencies. State and local buyers source lead foil for radiation shielding applications in medical facilities, particularly in diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy departments, and for industrial shielding and protective applications in maintenance and operations settings. Counties, municipalities, and special-purpose districts managing public health facilities and utility infrastructure represent the primary issuing bodies under this code; school districts and state departments of health occasionally solicit lead foil for laboratory and occupational-safety purposes.

The source provides no recent state or local contract opportunities tagged to UNSPSC 30102014, preventing characterization of active geographic markets or representative recent solicitations under this code. Without posted RFPs, RFQs, or ITBs to reference, current buying patterns and issuing-body concentration remain unclear. Business development professionals should monitor state procurement portals and cooperative purchasing vehicles in health-intensive jurisdictions — particularly those operating public hospitals, diagnostic imaging centers, or state health department facilities — for future activity, but the code shows no recent solicitation activity to evaluate for pursuit at this time.
