UNSPSC 27113206: Aircraft rescue tools

Equipment and gear for rescue operations that involves the response, evacuation and possible rescue of passengers and crew of an aircraft involved in an emergency.

UNSPSC 27113206 Aircraft rescue tools (Commodity) shows minimal state and local activity aligned with its nominal scope. The recent opportunities block contains no solicitations for aircraft rescue tools, rescue equipment, or emergency response gear. Instead, the tagged opportunities span airport operational services—airfield lighting testing, baggage handling system operations, passenger boarding bridge procurement, air traffic control tower modernization, and airport access control maintenance—none of which constitute rescue tools or emergency response equipment.

The code sees no demonstrable recent state and local procurement activity for aircraft rescue tools specifically. Issuers tagging opportunities under this code appear to be port authorities and airports (Lee County Port Authority at Southwest Florida International, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, City of Dallas Department of Aviation, Pinellas County, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey), but their solicitations do not align with rescue tool procurement. Without evidence of current demand for the commodity as described, this code warrants a skip unless your firm has existing relationships with airport authorities and can directly engage them on emergency response equipment needs outside the formal opportunity record.
