UNSPSC 27112710: Power screwguns

UNSPSC 27112710 Power screwguns is a Commodity code that captures state and local procurement of power-operated fastening tools for maintenance, repair, and construction operations. The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division recently issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 304T-26-445A1) to source master tool sets and individual tools for TxDOT and other state agencies and institutions of higher education through the Texas SmartBuy cooperative purchasing system, demonstrating that procurement under this code extends beyond single screwguns to complete tool assemblies serving fleet and garage maintenance. The master tool sets required include a minimum of 36 screwdrivers and broader power-tool portfolios (battery-powered, air-powered, and corded electric), with respondents evaluated on pricing (30 points), qualifications (30 points), and product quality and availability (40 points). Vendors must demonstrate a minimum of seven years' experience in professional-grade mechanic tools, statewide sales and distribution capability with on-site repairs within 24 hours, and all products must be new, first-class condition with ten-year warranties covering labor, materials, and parts.

The Texas Comptroller procurement represents the most recent activity visible under this code, issued through a state-level cooperative purchasing vehicle serving multiple state agencies and higher education institutions. The IFB was posted June 11, 2026, with a response deadline of June 11, 2026, at 1:30 PM Central Time, and includes a pre-proposal conference held May 28, 2026. The initial contract term runs through July 31, 2027, with four renewal options through July 31, 2030, plus an option for one additional year. Respondents may indicate eligibility for Texas-specific preference categories including service-disabled veteran ownership and Texas-manufactured goods. No contract value or budget ceiling is specified in the solicitation. The source contains no additional state or local opportunities under this code; pursuit here requires immediate engagement with existing vendor relationships or rapid qualification in professional-grade tool distribution and statewide service capability.
