UNSPSC 27112704: Power grinders

UNSPSC 27112704 Power grinders is a Commodity code covering handheld and stationary grinding tools procured by state and local governments for maintenance, repair, and operational use across law enforcement, public works, facilities management, and other departmental functions. State and local buyers under this code include county sheriff's offices, county maintenance departments, state police agencies, city public works divisions, and special-purpose districts. The code appears in cooperative purchasing frameworks that aggregate demand across multiple jurisdictions to establish blanket contracts with tool suppliers, enabling individual agencies to draw equipment as needed without repeated competitive solicitation.

Sourcewell, a Minnesota local government cooperative, is the most recent issuing body on record, conducting an RFP (#061626) on behalf of participating counties and public entities across Washington state and beyond, with a response deadline of June 16, 2026. The solicitation targets law enforcement equipment suppliers who can serve thousands of governmental agencies, higher education institutions, K-12 school districts, nonprofit organizations, tribal governments, and other public entities through a master contract vehicle. Participating jurisdictions in the Sourcewell framework include Franklin, Grant, Grays Harbor, Chelan, and Yakima Counties in Washington, though the cooperative's reach extends nationwide and into Canada. Vendors must submit proposals through the Sourcewell Procurement Portal; no set-aside designations, incumbent vendor information, or specific budget ranges are disclosed in the available documentation.
