UNSPSC 27112503: Conduit benders

UNSPSC 27112503 Conduit benders is a Commodity code whose abstract title masks an absence of relevant recent state and local activity. The source contains no recent opportunities that match the code's nominal scope—conduit bending tools used in electrical, telecommunications, or HVAC installation work. The seventeen most recent state and local contract opportunities tagged with this code span sodium hypochlorite for municipal pools, painting supplies for transit bus maintenance, program supplies for recreation centers, boat repair and maintenance, square tube steel signposts, window treatments, theater lighting renovations, lineman tools and electrical equipment, precision test modules, antifreeze, retroreflective sign sheeting, CPR masks, election equipment transportation, street sweepers, ground maintenance, drain cleaning, environmental lead investigations, aluminum sign blanks, electrical supplies for utilities, ornamental plants, and asphalt pickup. None of these are conduit benders. The mismatch suggests the Commodity code was applied in error to a broad electrical or general procurement category, and this code does not see reliable activity aligned with its intended product scope. State and local procurement activity under this code is not presently actionable without clarification of the actual commodity being purchased or confirmation that a tagging error has been corrected.

No representative recent opportunities support a defensible business-development strategy under this Commodity code.
