UNSPSC 27112409: Explosive stud gun

A gun that uses gun powder when drilling stud, pin and nail into brick, concrete and steel materials and others.

UNSPSC 27112409 Explosive stud gun is a Commodity code showing minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with its nominal scope. The single recent opportunity on file—Gwinnett County's Department of Financial Services IWQ 128183, posted April 1, 2026, with quotes due April 3, 2026—solicits 125 Gunnebo Industries Sling Hooks for lifting chains, not explosive stud guns or powder-actuated fastening tools. The mismatch suggests either a miscoding in the county's procurement system or a systematic tagging error in how this code has been applied to unrelated materials-handling equipment. State and local buyers do not appear to be soliciting explosive stud guns, powder-actuated tools, or related fastening systems under this code at present.

The sole record reflects Gwinnett County, Georgia, a county-level issuing body, seeking lifting hardware for water-resource infrastructure. The April 3, 2026 response deadline has passed. Without additional recent opportunities tagged to this code across other jurisdictions, issuing-body mix and geographic breadth cannot be characterized. Firms evaluating this code should verify whether state and local procurement offices are actually buying explosive stud guns or powder-actuated fastening systems under the 27112409 designation, as current evidence does not support active, code-aligned procurement in the state and local market.
