UNSPSC 27112311: Marking chalk

This kind of chalk is designed for industrial marking on complex surfaces such as steel, concrete, stone, glass, wood, rubber, fabric or others. It can support extreme high or low temperatures. It comes in several colors.

UNSPSC 27112311 Marking chalk is a Commodity code covering chalk products used for temporary marking, layout, and identification in construction, maintenance, and facility operations. State and local governments procure marking chalk primarily through school districts and facilities departments for classroom supplies, maintenance crews for equipment and utility marking, and construction contractors for site layout and line marking during repairs and alterations. The product category encompasses standard classroom chalk, industrial marking chalk in multiple colors, and specialized chalk for marking on metal, concrete, and outdoor surfaces.

The recent opportunities block contains no solicitation records for this code. Activity under 27112311 appears limited in state and local procurement databases, suggesting either minimal formal competitive bidding for marking chalk at the jurisdiction level or procurement through cooperative purchasing vehicles and GSA schedules that do not generate individual RFP or IFB notices. School districts and municipal maintenance operations likely purchase marking chalk through blanket orders or local vendor relationships rather than formal solicitations.
