UNSPSC 27112229: Tile removing chisel

A tool with a cranked blade that enables easy and quick removal of tiles with minimal damage to the backing wall or floor. It can also be used to remove plaster.

UNSPSC 27112229 Tile removing chisel is a Commodity code that covers hand tools used to remove tile during facility renovation, maintenance, and demolition work. State and local governments procure these chisels as part of broader janitorial supplies, maintenance equipment, or construction material inventories. The work itself involves sourcing individual units or small quantities of this specialized tool for facilities management, grounds maintenance, or capital improvement projects. Issuing bodies span state facilities departments, county maintenance operations, municipalities managing public buildings, and school districts maintaining campuses. The tool typically appears in procurement alongside other hand tools, demolition equipment, or construction supplies rather than as a standalone line item.

The source material contains no recent state and local contract opportunities tagged to this code. Without posted RFP, RFQ, IFB, or ITB records, activity level and geographic concentration cannot be determined from current solicitation data. Buyers interested in this commodity should monitor state and local procurement portals in their target regions and watch for facilities-maintenance or capital-improvement ITBs and IFBs that bundle hand tools and specialty equipment.
