UNSPSC 27111816: Gage ball set

A collection of various measurement balls with different diameters.

UNSPSC 27111816 Gage ball set is a Commodity code that does not align with the recent state and local contract opportunities posted under it. The recent opportunities solicited by Texas and Philadelphia procurement offices—including law enforcement blades, transport cases, handcuffs, leg irons, machetes, and ceremonial flags—fall outside the scope of precision measurement instruments such as gage ball sets. The code appears misapplied to these contracts, suggesting either tagging errors in the underlying procurement platforms or mission creep in how the code has been used operationally by issuing bodies.

The Texas Office of the Attorney General and the City of Philadelphia represent the issuing bodies in the recent record, neither of which shows repeat activity specifically aligned with gage ball set procurement. The single representative opportunity is the Texas OAG's IFB 302-27-254756 for law enforcement equipment (blades, handcuffs, leg irons, transport cases, and tourniquet pouches), due October 15, 2026, with a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business subcontracting goal of 10 percent and delivery to Austin, Texas. No recent opportunities demonstrate actual demand for gage ball sets under this code; activity is sparse and mismatch signals low current pursuit value.
