UNSPSC 27111813: Plumb bob line

A specialized line usually made of nylon to avoid damage when suspended with a weight at the bottom (plumb bob).

UNSPSC 27111813 Plumb bob line (Commodity) shows minimal relevance to recent state and local procurement activity. The code nominally describes plumb bobs and plumb lines—simple leveling and alignment tools used in construction and trades—but the recent solicitations tagged under this code comprise law enforcement equipment (tactical knives, handcuffs, leg irons, cases, and tourniquets), a machete purchase, and flags. None of these categories align with the scope of plumb bob tools or their typical maintenance and supply chains. The mismatch suggests either a categorization error in how state and local procurement offices have tagged these opportunities or that plumb bob procurement under this code does not appear in current notice activity. The issuing bodies represented—the Texas Office of the Attorney General, the City of Philadelphia, and the City of Dallas—are soliciting products wholly outside the plumb bob commodity family.

No recent opportunities for actual plumb bob line products appear in the current state and local notice database. Business development professionals evaluating this code should verify whether plumb bob procurement is being transacted under a different UNSPSC code or whether demand for these products through state and local channels is currently inactive or consolidated within broader tool-supply contracts not separately posted as IFBs or RFQs.
