UNSPSC 26142405: Radioactive waste dosage systems

UNSPSC 26142405 Radioactive waste dosage systems, a Commodity code, shows limited alignment with recent state and local procurement activity. The County of Santa Clara issued a Request for Information (RFI) in April 2026 for a Public Health Lab Information Management Solution Replacement — a lab information management system (LIMS) procurement that falls outside the nominal scope of radioactive waste dosage measurement and tracking systems. The code does not reflect active state and local demand for radiation dosimetry equipment, calibration services, or related instrumentation that would typically fall under this Commodity's intended scope.

The single recent opportunity on record — Santa Clara County's RFI (RFITSSFY260686, response deadline April 22, 2026) — targets LIMS platform replacement rather than radioactive waste monitoring or dosage systems. No budget parameters, set-aside designations, or incumbent vendor information was disclosed in the solicitation. The mismatch between the code's nominal scope and the actual procurement suggests either a tagging error in the county's systems or minimal current state and local purchasing activity in radioactive waste dosage instrumentation. Business development professionals evaluating this code should verify directly with state health departments, environmental agencies, and medical facilities regarding actual demand for radiation dosimetry equipment and services rather than relying on recent tagged opportunities.
