UNSPSC 26142306: Shielded containers for radiation protection

UNSPSC 26142306 Shielded containers for radiation protection is a Commodity code, but the recent state and local procurement activity under this code does not align with its nominal scope. Clackamas County, Oregon's posted opportunity (Bid #2026-55, due August 11, 2026) is for armored coating construction work with a county engineer's estimate of $225,000 — a surface protection and construction service entirely unrelated to radiation shielding containers or radiation protection equipment. The mismatch suggests either a coding error in the state procurement system or that this Commodity code is not being applied to its intended product category in current state and local solicitations. No other recent opportunities appear under this code in the source data.

The single opportunity shows activity in Oregon, but the scope of work — construction labor, materials, equipment, and services for armored coating application — falls outside radiation protection and does not represent the kinds of products or services this Commodity code is designed to track. Bidders pursuing state and local contracts under UNSPSC 26142306 should verify code alignment with issuing bodies before submitting responses, as current procurement practice in the available record does not reflect radiation shielding or related protective containers.
