UNSPSC 25201802: Spacecraft command modules

UNSPSC 25201802 Spacecraft command modules is a Commodity code covering the procurement and integration of crewed spacecraft command and control systems. State and local governments do not appear in the procurement record for this code; the category serves exclusively federal aerospace and defense contractors and NASA. The code encompasses the specialized cabins, control stations, life-support integration, and avionics packages that form the operational core of human spaceflight vehicles. Given the technical complexity, regulatory requirements, and capital intensity of spacecraft command module development and production, contracting activity occurs at the federal level through NASA and Department of Defense channels, not through state or local procurement offices.

No recent state or local contract opportunities appear under this code. The absence of activity reflects the code's designation as a federal space-systems commodity rather than a state or local purchasing category. Firms pursuing spacecraft command module work should direct business development efforts toward NASA field centers (Kennedy, Johnson, Marshall), the Department of Defense Space Force, and prime contractors holding existing vehicle-development awards, rather than toward state and local RFP cycles.
