UNSPSC 25173005: Light plate assemblies

UNSPSC 25173005 Light plate assemblies is a Commodity code. State and local governments soliciting under this code seek LED lighting products and components for facilities and fleet operations. Recent solicitations show school districts and county governments purchasing LED lighting fixtures on an as-needed basis for buildings and infrastructure upgrades. The code captures both standalone lighting procurement and lighting components within larger modernization or construction projects. Issuing bodies include independent school districts and county purchasing departments, with activity spread across school facilities maintenance, traffic signal modernization projects, and general municipal infrastructure upgrades.

Recent activity appears concentrated in Texas and Florida, driven primarily by infrastructure modernization initiatives funded through federal carbon reduction and traffic signal improvement programs. Parkway School District (Missouri) posted an IFB seeking LED lighting distributors with an estimated spend of $35,000 over twelve months and a response deadline of July 30, 2026. Cameron County and the City of Brownsville, Texas, both solicited lighting and detection equipment as part of federally funded traffic signal synchronization projects in July and May 2026, respectively. The Brownsville IFB required pre-bid attendance (May 4, 2026), included federal Buy America compliance, and mandated TxDOT prequalification. Activity under this specific commodity code remains limited in the recent opportunities block; most posted solicitations tag related infrastructure work under broader UNSPSC classifications rather than narrowly under light plate assemblies alone.
