UNSPSC 25172121: Driver airbag inflator

Air inflation mechanism used for driver's side automotive inflatable restraint system

UNSPSC 25172121 Driver airbag inflator is a Commodity code that describes automotive safety components used in vehicle airbag systems. However, the most-recent-state-local-contract-opportunities block shows no relevant procurement activity under this code. The three records present — a Williamson County Purchasing Department relocation notice, a Broward County fiber optic intersection improvements invitation to bid, and a City of Gainesville heavy-duty bus parts invitation to bid — bear no relationship to driver airbag inflators or automotive safety inflator procurement. State and local buyers do source vehicle parts and components, but this particular commodity code shows no current activity in the available opportunity dataset.

Without recent solicitations under UNSPSC 25172121, no geographic spread, issuing-body mix, or representative opportunities can be characterized from the source material. A business development professional evaluating this code should not assume dormancy — state and local procurement patterns vary by jurisdiction, season, and vehicle fleet composition — but should rely on direct outreach to state transportation departments, school districts with fleet operations, and transit authorities to identify actual demand for driver airbag inflators in their procurement pipelines.
