UNSPSC 25111705: Amphibious transport docks

UNSPSC 25111705 Amphibious transport docks, a Commodity code, identifies specialized vessels designed for amphibious operations—watercraft capable of transporting personnel and equipment to shore and conducting sustained operations in coastal and inland waterway environments. State and local governments procure these vessels primarily through state departments of natural resources, fish and wildlife agencies, and emergency management offices for disaster response, search and rescue, and water-access infrastructure support. The code also appears in transit authority and port authority solicitations where amphibious capability supports emergency preparedness or specialized waterway operations.

The source provides no recent state or local contract opportunities tagged to this code, indicating minimal current procurement activity at the state and local level for amphibious transport docks. This is consistent with the specialized and capital-intensive nature of amphibious vessel acquisition, which typically occurs on extended planning cycles and involves federal funding streams or cooperative purchasing vehicles rather than standalone state or local RFPs. Interested firms should monitor state emergency management and natural resources agency procurement calendars for multi-year capital equipment cycles or federal pass-through funding announcements that may trigger solicitations under this code.
